Oregon Updates Collision Reporting Requirements

Effective January 1, 2025, a change to Oregon traffic laws may impact collision reporting and claims processes.

Notably, drivers are now required to report traffic collisions caused by a vehicle’s load to the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles.

Use the required form, Oregon Form 735-32, to report these accidents on the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services website.

For questions or further clarification, call the Oregon DMV at 503.945.5000 or visit OregonDMV.com.
