Behavior

  • Distractions
  • Carrying objects that impair sight
  • Inattention
  • Ignoring hazard warning signs
  • Hurrying

KNOW THE DEFENSE

  • Avoid distractions while walking.
  • Pay attention to where you walk.
  • Avoid hazardous areas.
  • Walk in well-lit areas or use a flashlight.
  • Obey hazard warning signs.
  • Do not carry objects that obstruct your view.
  • Wear shoes with slip-resistant soles.
  • Tie your shoelaces.
